Here is my first entry into the list of 2009 albums I missed that probably would have made my Best of list. And So I Watch You From Afar hail from Belfast, Ireland and take the post-rock convention and completely revamp it. Many people have that belief that all post-rock sounds the same, and I can say And So I Watch You From Afar completely disprove that. Just from the first track, “Set Guitars To Kill”, they play unapologetically and very loud. Perhaps my favorite part of this is how they incorporate many elements of metal into their music, something I haven’t heard very often. Included with the album itself is a bonus CD that has been floating around the Internet. If you haven’t heard of And So I Watch You From Afar, no need to miss out anymore.
