The Nervous Jerks fuel themselves from a dying Youngstown music scene. The Nervous Jerks is the project of one man, Matthew Leicht. He has been recording for over 17 years, and is using this album as a “final hurrah” in his own words. The most impressive part of this music is the fact that he has recorded every single instrument on his own. It could be easily mistaken for a four-piece band with the full sound he projects. My personal favorites include “Beat Up” and “Less and Less and Less”, which both perfect the art of picking up and slowing down tempos.
