That didn’t take long for The Dodos to release another album! Just over a year after releasing Visiter, The Dodos have come back with Time To Die. I got turned on to them last year by my roommate, who was a big fan. I fell in love with Visiter, especially the songs “Red and Purple” and “Fools”. Time To Die contains many elements done in Visiter, but also takes a different direction. The vocals and guitar style are still quite similar, still retaining that “bob-your-head” feeling. But the sound overall contains a much more acoustic sound, with much less percussion going on. The vibes are still there, but they are not as noticeable compared to their last album. Don’t get me wrong, this album is very well done, its just different than Visiter. You give it a try. Also, check out the video for “Fables”, I enjoyed the end.
