Black Medicine Music was a definite gem of last year, breaking in the jungle drone genre. With his primitive percussive beats, serene ambient, and overall meditative tone, the music creates perfect forest imagery. Some credit has to go to Adam Forkner of Kranky’s White Rainbow, who mastered this album.
