For those who were saddened by the announcement that TV on the Radio would be taking a break, here is a good reason to not be sad anymore! Rain Machine is the project of Kyp Malone of TVOTR, and the formula for the music is not far off from his main band. While the sound is not much different, he does give more focus on the soft guitar ballads, which can be very pleasant. At some points, it even sounded like this was taking on a post-rock tone, listen to the 11-minute “Winter Song” for proof.
