Back in 2009, I posted about Monogold’s thick and deep EP, We Animals, and now in 2011, the Brooklyn band has released their debut, The Softest Glow. Monogold are some skilled indie-rockers from Brooklyn. This EP was self-recorded/produced/released, showing that these guys have some real talent. Coming in at around 26 minutes, We Animals has no shortage of music. The music itself takes on almost an orchestral tone, filled up with layers and layers of instruments and sounds, despite only having three members. I think perhaps the best part of the music is the vocalist’s glorious voice, with a falsetto in parts that made the songs soar.
