Over the past couple years, Bloomington natives husband&wife have developed a folk-infused heavy-hitting pop sound that has become nearly impossible to not like. Album-opener “Begone Long One” and title-track “Proud Flesh” are off their newest album released late last year. Indiana keeps trying to prove me wrong. Nothing is too complex about this Bloomington, IN band, just some really nice yet ambitious folk. “Mulberry Squeezins” is current favorite of mine, with it ambient build-up and engaging ending. Check out their hi-res videos on their myspace, really good stuff.
