Joke time! What do you get when you add The Black Keys drummer, Pat Carney, to four other Ohio drummers? …A BAND CALL DRUMMER!!! I apologize right now for that joke, please don’t leave. Drummer is the project of five drummers from Ohio bands, including Pat Carney who plays bass for them. This album was mostly made because these guys had some down time, and it was an easy release from Pat Carney’s own label, Audio Eagle. The album definitely reflects that easy attitude, with it’s extremely likable songs. Don’t expect The Black Keys here though, the sound is much more straight-forward indie rock with a touch of prog (note the keyboards).
