Clues is the main project of former Unicorns frontman, Alden Penner, and pre-Funeral Arcade Fire drummer, Brendan Reed. The self-titled is fantastical, with bold and glorious moments throughout. They fall between two general song types, delicate ballads and charming unpredictable indie rock tunes. Possibly the best part is its unpredictability, interesting from start to finish. Clues is a loose highly-enjoyable album, packed with impressive surprises that demand a listen.
